Open Sesa-splat
An open studio night at The Splat Flats
Friday October 6th From 7-10 P.M.
Click HERE to see photos from this event!
Get a sneak peak into the private/public space of the Splat Flat Artists: The Studio.
The Splat Flats, a community of 28-30 artists in the Wicker Park/East Village
area of Chicago, will present “Open Sesa-Splat,” an evening of open studios
celebrating the group’s two year anniversary and Chicago Artists’ Month.
Open Sesa-Splat, a title playing on the old kitsch saying “open sesame,”
will showcase the work of established Splat Flat artists, such as painter
Jeremiah Ketner, stained glass artist Robert McDade, and designer
Judy Higgins, as well as flaunt the work and presence of some of their
new additions to the group: painter Lee Lee Chan, glass mixed media artist
Elizabeth Savage, painter Stacie Johnson, and acclaimed novelist Alex Shakar.
